BBQ in Texas

Everyone keeps telling me that Texas is about steak, not BBQ, but Rudy's has pretty good rep and I haven't been before

French 75s

We picked and peeled a few pounds of lemons for our next batch of limonchello, which should be ready in about 6 weeks. What to do with the lemon juice we didn't use? Make French 75s of course. Yum!

Jack's school had a carnival with cotton candy, bouncy houses, and the musical styling of Andy Z. Needless to say, Jack had a blast!

Truckee / Tahoe-Donner

Weekend trip to the mountains for a friend's birthday celebration resulted in 9 hours of driving, but many happy smiles. Not pictured: Pete's high altitude run, crawfish and watching a cardboard regatta at Donner Lake, grilled skirt steak tacos, Ice cream at Fentons in Vacaville

Kid Sized Konstruction

Event I found at Hillsdale Mall for kids to build a project, which ended up being an Avengers / Ironman plane. Jack could not have been more excited!

Tomatoes

Jack helped us pick the tomatoes we've been growing the last few months. Made a very tasty tomato and burrata salad with basil we grew in the yard. A good start, hope we get a bigger crop next year!
