1 Year Check Up

Jack was not happy about being at the doctor today. He got 4 shots!

Weight 23lb, 9oz(90th percentile), head circumference 47.5cm (90th!), height 30in (75th). He's getting taller!

Happy 1st Birthday Jack!!

What a great birthday weekend! Yesterday we went to the SF Zoo - Jack really liked the monkeys and flamingos, Pete liked the giraffes, and Stef thought the polar bears and koalas were adorable. We got a family membership and are looking forward to Jack enjoying the animals even more as he grows older.

We had a tasty breakfast of biscuits and gravy and then opened some presents his Nana and Pop sent from the east coast. Then some more work in the backyard followed by birthday noodles for lunch and then to the park to swing for the first time (ever!). Dinner with Yaya and Nana meant another first -- ice cream!

T minus 1 day until 1yo....

Nothing too overwhelming, but we wanted to do something Jackson would enjoy and we had been gifted SF Zoo passes at Christmas (Thanks Em!)...

Jack's First Steps

Jack and a three of his friends celebrated their birthdays in our playgroup today. He tolerated his hat for about 5 seconds before trying to eat it, which was about 4 seconds longer than I expected.

Also, Jack just took his very first steps about 10 minutes ago, first one before falling and then 4 more. Attempts to photo document it were unsuccessful. However, we are very proud parents!

Landscaping!

Ah the joys of home ownership! We're digging up some planters in the backyard, before they collapse and pour dirt into the pool (though we're shoveling some in ourselves...)
